Welcome to a new semester and a new year at Monarch!  There are many activities in full swing in Coyote Country!  How’s your school spirit?  An excellent way to show your school spirit as well as continue to boost your student’s school spirit is to attend school events.  The event doesn’t have to be something in which your son or daughter is involved.  January is full of activities and events that are highly entertaining, exciting, and will bring us together as a school community.  The boys’ and girls’ basketball teams and girls’ swimming and diving teams are going strong.  Skiers from Monarch participate in the BVSD ski team.  This year is the third year for our ice hockey team.  Enjoy cheering on our Coyotes!  Click here for the athletic calendar with exact times and dates for competitions mailto:http://www.highschoolsports.net/school/Monarch-High-School-Louisville-CO/?subject=Athletic Schedulew

A huge shout-out to the band, choir, and orchestra, who all performed very successful winter concerts in December to enthusiastic and appreciative crowds!  The jazz bands will showcase their talents on Wednesday, January 18th, at 7:00 p.m. in Monarch’s Johnson Auditorium.

Monarch hosted two successful Open Enrollment events in December and in early January.  A big Thank You to Principal Anderson and staff for their support during these events and to the many, many parent volunteers and students who donated their time, energy, and expertise to help attract students to our vibrant school.  The deadline for Open Enrollment Registration at BVSD is 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 13th.  Monarch welcomes any interested families to join our fabulous high school.  If you have questions about Open Enrollment, please contact the BVSD Open Enrollment office at 720-561-5900.

The PTSO general meetings are scheduled for the second Wednesday of every month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (lunch provided) and the second Thursday of every month from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m in the Main Office Conference Room.  The January meetings are on Wed, Jan. 11th at 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the evening meeting is Thursday, January 12th, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Please plan to join us each month.  All are welcome!
